BrightKeep does not collect or upload the information you put into the app. There is no BrightKeep account, no developer-operated data server, and no analytics running in the background. This page explains what that means in practice.
What we do not do
- We do not receive your name, email address, entries, activity, or device identifier from the app.
- There are no accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to.
- There is no analytics or tracking, no developer-operated crash reporting, no advertising identifier, and no advertising or tracking software inside the app.
- We do not sell or share your app content. We cannot, because we never receive it.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you enter — your rooms, cleaning tasks and schedules, helper names, and settings — is saved in the app’s own private storage on your device. It is not transmitted anywhere.
If you back up your device, that data is included in the backup, as it is for any other app. Those are backups you have chosen to make, they are governed by your device manufacturer’s terms, and they are not something we can see or control.
App marketplace purchases
BrightKeep uses your device’s app marketplace to check, buy, or restore its one-time purchase. The marketplace provider processes payment and account information under its own privacy policy. The app receives only the transaction and entitlement information it needs to decide whether purchased features are available; it does not attach your entries or activity to that request, and NuPebbles does not receive your payment details.
Buying or restoring the purchase requires a connection to the app marketplace. The app’s private content remains on your device, and its everyday features do not depend on a NuPebbles account or server.
When information leaves your device
Only when you deliberately send it. BrightKeep makes one kind of file, a copy of your home for backup, and only when you tap “Save a copy.” The file is handed to your device’s own share sheet, and from there you decide where it is saved and who it goes to. We never see it and never receive a copy.
Notifications
If you turn reminders on, they are scheduled locally by your device. There is no push notification server, and no token is registered with us or with anyone else. The reminder text never includes your entries, so nothing private appears on your lock screen.
Children
BrightKeep may be used by people of different ages. Because the app does not collect personal information, it does not collect personal information from children.
Your rights over your data
Your app data is already in your hands. You can erase it from within the app at any time. With the one-time unlock, you can also save a copy through your device’s share sheet. Removing the app removes its local data from your device; any device backup you chose to make remains subject to your device and backup provider’s controls. NuPebbles has no server copy to return, correct, or delete.
This website and support email
This website is separate from the apps and does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. If you choose to email us, your email address and whatever you include in the message are sent through the email providers involved in delivery. We use that information only to answer you and do not sell it. Please do not include private app entries unless they are necessary to explain your question.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Any change that involved collecting information would be described on this page before it took effect.
