Is there a subscription?
No. Parts of BrightKeys are free, and one payment unlocks the full app for good.
Do I need an account?
No. The app keeps everything on your phone.
Are the numbers exact?
No. They’re estimates from the numbers you enter. BrightKeys is not a lender and doesn’t make loan offers, so check the numbers with a lender before you decide.
Does BrightKeys go online to get rates?
No. You type in the numbers. For some numbers you don’t know, like property taxes or home insurance, the app uses an average saved in the app. Where a number comes from an official source, a row opens that source page so you can check it yourself, and the row says where it goes.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. You need a connection only to buy or restore the full app, or to open a link.
Can I make the text bigger, or use dark mode?
Yes. Go to More and choose a Text size. It adds to your phone’s own text size. More > Appearance sets light or dark.
