BrightTend collects no personal information of any kind. There is no account to create, no server it talks to, and no analytics running in the background. This page says what that means in practice.
What we do not do
- We collect no information about you. Not your name, not an email address, not a device identifier — nothing.
- There are no accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to.
- There is no analytics or tracking, no crash reporting, no advertising identifier, and no third-party software of any kind inside the app.
- We share nothing and sell nothing, because we hold nothing.
- The app makes no network requests. It works identically in airplane mode.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you enter — the actions you create, the answers you give each day, the notes you write, and your settings — is saved in the app’s own private storage on your device. It is not transmitted anywhere.
If you back up your device, that data is included in the backup, as it is for any other app. Those are backups you have chosen to make, they are governed by your device manufacturer’s terms, and they are not something we can see or control.
When information leaves your device
Only when you deliberately send it. BrightTend can create a file from your data — such as a backup or a PDF — but only when you ask it to. The file is handed to your device’s own share sheet, and from there you decide what happens to it: where it is saved, whether it is printed, who it goes to. We never see it and never receive a copy.
Notifications
If you turn reminders on, they are scheduled locally by your device. There is no push notification server, and no token is registered with us or with anyone else. The reminder text never includes your entries, so nothing private appears on your lock screen.
Children
BrightTend is suitable for all ages. It collects no information from anyone, of any age.
Your rights over your data
Your data is already entirely in your hands. You can export it or erase it from within the app at any time, and removing the app from your device removes everything it stored. There is no copy anywhere else for us to return to you, correct, or delete.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Any change that involved collecting information would be described on this page before it took effect.
